Akron, Ohio – (Nov. 7, 2017) – Local addiction treatment provider, Community Health Center (CHC), announces the appointment of Janet L. Wagner as Interim CEO, effective immediately. The announcement comes in light of Bob Stokes’ recent resignation, a post he held for four years.

“I am honored to assist our team during this transitional period,” said Wagner. “I am confident our team will continue to focus on providing our community members with the resources necessary for recovery while focusing on total well-being.”

Wagner has over 30 years of experience with the CHC, serving as Chief Operating Officer since 1990. She has held management positions in the behavioral health field since 1981. Wagner is currently a board member at the Summit County Community Partnership and is president of the Summit Terrace Development Corporation Board of Directors and several other housing programs of the Community Health Center and Ohio Multi-County Development Corporation.

As Interim CEO, Wagner will be responsible for managing a budget of approximately $12 million. She will lead a staff of 150 employees in providing the Summit County community members with comprehensive treatment for the rehabilitation and prevention of addictive and compulsive disorders.

“We appreciate all that Bob did for the agency during his tenure, and look to Jan during this time of transition to lead our team going forward into 2018,” said Adam Feltes, President of the Community Health Center Board of Directors.
