Soup with dumplings - this is perhaps the simplest and most delicious soup. A great way to feed your family fast, satisfying, tasty and budget. This soup is of Ukrainian origin.

How to make garlic dumplings soup
- Chicken leg - 2 pcs.
- Water - 2.5 L
- Black pepper - 4 pcs. peas
- Bay leaf - 2 pcs.
- Potato - 3 pcs.
- Butter - 30 g
- Vegetable oil - 2 tbsp.
- Onions - 1 pc.
- Black pepper - taste
- Salt - taste
- Carrots - 1 pc.
- Milk - 2 tbsp.
- Egg - 2 pcs.
- Flour - 7 tbsp.
- Garlic - 1 tooth.
- Greens - to taste for serving
Dip chicken legs in cold water and put on fire. When the broth boils, periodically remove the resulting foam. Simmer for one hour. At the end of cooking add bay leaf and pepper.
Peel the vegetables. Cut the potatoes into small cubes (if you like a thicker soup, you can add more potatoes). Grate carrots on a coarse grater. Throw potatoes and carrots into boiling broth. Cook for 10-15 minutes.
Finely chop the onion. Preheat the pan, fry the onions in vegetable oil until golden brown, add butter at the end. This is done so that the onions acquire a creamy taste, and the butter does not burn out as the onions are fried.
While the vegetables are boiled, you can make dough for dumplings. In a deep bowl, beat two eggs with a whisk, pour in milk, add salt, and pepper. Gradually introduce sifted flour. Peel the garlic, chop it with a press, add to the dough.
The dough should not be tight to easily separate small pieces with a spoon.
Sliced dough in boiling soup. It is better to make dumplings small, when cooking they swell. Cook the dumplings until cooked, they should surface. This will take 5-10 minutes.
Serve hot, sprinkled with chopped herbs.
